Havaianas launches its online sales channel in Colombia

According to the Measurement of Indicators of Consumption of the eCommerce Observatory of 2019, 80% of the respondents consults online the products or services that interest them, and, at the time of buying, the categories of fashion (37%) and tourism (37 %) are preferred by Colombians to place their orders.

In this context, Havaianas, the most beloved flip flops - beach shoes - brand in the world, announces the launch of its new online sales channel, with which it seeks to offer Colombians the possibility of accessing the brand's products. from any city in the country.

“Betting on innovation is very important to us, for this reason, we evolved and opened this new channel that responds to local market trends. Our goal is that all consumers can access our products from anywhere, in order to continue infecting them with all the essence that Havaianas represents ”, stated Alejandro Cruz, Country Manager of Alpargatas Colombia.

The platform has been enabled since March, and on this channel, consumers will be able to find the variety that characterizes the brand with different styles and colors available for each Colombian to find the Havaianas they are looking for.

“In our social networks, consumers constantly asked us to enable online sales, and to respond to these requirements, we gave them the news that we opened a new store, and this time, it is the online store to which all Colombians can have access. Cruz assured.

With this announcement, the brand continues to consolidate its operation in Colombia where it is present in more than 500 points of sale located in 30 cities in the country, through different distributors and specialized chains. This, added to the three own stores of the brand located in Cartagena, Barranquilla and Bogotá.


Havaianas is a brand with more than 55 years of history that marked a milestone in the mid-90s by converting footwear such as flip-flops into sandals that today are a product desired by many and that have earned a place within Fashion.

In its beginnings, in the year 1962, the name of Havaianas was born as an adaptation of the word "Hawaii" which was a popular tourist destination at the time. Its design was created under the inspiration of the “Zori”, traditional Japanese sandals with rice fiber soles and “V” shaped straps. The creators decided to give a different touch to these models by making them from rubber soles, a key element that distinguishes Havaianas today, thanks to the fact that they offer comfort, flexibility and durability.
